This remote adapter plugs into the back of the Studer A725, Revox B126/B225/B226 CD player and allows it to be controlled from any universal remote programmed for Sony DVD. You may be saying to yourself, but, these CD players have a built-in IR receiver and can be controlled by the Revox B201, B201CD or B205 remotes. The problem I'm trying to solve is the genuine Revox remote is hard to find, expensive and well just plain ugly and hard to use (for all functions other than Play/Next and Power Off you need to hold the * button down, stupid!). Another problem is the Revox remotes uses a very old IR protocol which isn't supported by pre-programmed remotes and can't be learned by learning by remotes like the Logitech Harmony or Philips Pronto. With this wireless adapter you can control the Studer A725, Revox B126/B225/B226 using
any
universal remote that can control a Sony DVD which is nearly all of them out there.
This unit plugs into the 6-pin DIN Serial Link connector on the back of the CD player and will allow the player to be controlled from any universal remote programmed for Sony DVD. Comes with a high quality universal 4-device remote. The following functions are remote controllable: Power Off, Play, Pause, Stop, < Search, Search > and the 10 number buttons 0 through 9.

Includes a universal remote, batteries and is pre-programmed to work with the remote receiver. A pair of jumpers inside the remote adapter allows you to select between four different remote codes in case you have a conflict with an existing DVD player or if you want to have up to 4 remote adapters in the same room.
Frequently asked questions
Can I control more than one deck? Yes, there is a jumper inside for selecting between four different Sony DVD remote codes. Up to four units can be located in the same area and controlled independently.
Can I use my own remote? Yes, the wireless adapter responds to Sony DVD codes that are available on almost every universal remote. It is probably the most common device supported.
