ATS (Automatic Time Set)
The correct EST (Eastern Standard Time) has been preset at the factory so all you have to do is plug it in and adjust the time zone if necessary. In the case of a power interruption, the built-in Lithium battery maintains the correct time so when the power returns you don't have to reset the clock.
CD-R/RW Playback with Built-In Audio Cable
The ICF-CDK50 accommodates not only factory-pressed CD audio discs, but also consumer-recorded CD-R and CD-RW discs, so you can listen to your favorite custom mixes while you cook as well as your complete CD collection. A built-in audio cable gives you more options, with an attachable holder for easy play back of digital music players.
